First Date Fashion Assistance

In a recent article, I discussed how to dress for a first date. However, even when you know what to wear in general, there are times where it’s not clear if a particular outfit is worth wearing. We often second guess our opinion on the outfit and either decided not to wear or we wear it but worry all night long. In both cases, we can end up regretting our decision.
I’ve seen it recommended to upload a photo of yourself to HotOrNot.com to get an idea of how you look based on how people rate you. The problem here is the people rating you aren’t there to help you improve your style.
The good news is, a new site called Fashism (great name by the way) is a site dedicated to solving this type of problem. Take of photo of yourself in an outfit, upload it and then get advice from others on the site. You can also upload two photos with different outfits and get advice on which looks better. The site is great because when you read the comments, you can tell those discussing the outfits have a passion for style.
Right now, it looks like 90% of all the people asking for advice are women but men are using the service as well. Amusingly, I’ve noticed a lot of men submitting photos to the site are excluding their faces from their photos.
If you’re anxious about an upcoming date, give Fashism a try. There are enough things to worry about with online dating…don’t let your outfit be one of them.
